Long before the start of Germany’s new cycling momentum, Stefan Flessner and Sandra Schmitz saw the need for a boutique agency that was small, effective, and highly specialized for the world of cycling. After years of handling various cycling projects for different firms, they founded FlessnerSchmitz. With their years of experience in the business, they offer senior level communication consulting — all focused on clients performing in a single sport and lifestyle: cycling.
Before co-founding FlessnerSchmitz in 2010, Stefan spent 10 years leading all cycling-related projects at Scholz & Friends (now a WPP agency). In addition to initiating their sports-marketing unit, he also was the Deputy Managing Director of their live-marketing agency. Stefan is the strategic and creative component of FlessnerSchmitz. He has a long track record with pro cycling sponsors and their sponsored teams as well as with brands from various industries and public authorities.
Sandra started her career in 2000 with upsolut (now Ironman), where she was involved in their pro and mass participation cycling events. She joined Stefan at Scholz & Friends in 2006 to become the press officer for Team Milram. She also served as the press officer for the pro cycling teams NetApp, NetApp-Endura, and Bora-Argon 18. Since co-founding FlessnerSchmitz in 2010, Sandra has been in charge of project management and networking for the firm.
